This reliable printer became known for its fast print speed (45 pages per minute) and higher page yield than the similar HP LaserJet 4200 printer.
These chipped cartridges have a wiper blade that is held in place by a molded plastic overlay that has to be cut for component removal. Though similar to the 4200, these cartridges cannot be converted for use in the 4200 due to the larger waste bin.
Our Odyssey® Mag Roller (Product Code: H4555MDR-OS-5) eliminates banding issues seen in other aftermarket offerings and allows remanufacturers to build extended yield and max fill cartridges without worrying over mag wear. Our strict manufacturing tolerances eliminate the mag banding defects seen with other aftermarket offerings. Using a mag roller press (Product Code: HP43MRPRESS-I) for mag roller replacement is necessary to avoid light density prints and other print defects.
We recommend a full Static Control build to ensure great image density with no banding defects for the life of the cartridge. The contact end plate is held by three plastic welds that have to be broken during remanufacturing and proper reassembly is essential to avoid a “Remove Shipping Lock” error.
